Who Can Access Your C Spire Account

Published 08/26/2015 01:20 PM   |    Updated 01/07/2016 12:48 PM

There are three levels of access for a consumer account:

  • Account Holder
  • Authorized Signer
  • Subscriber

Account Holder – The Account Holder is the person responsible for paying the bill and can perform all transactions on an account after verification of identity.

Authorized Signer – The Authorized Signer is a user on the account who has been previously designated by the Account Holder as being able to perform certain transactions. Verification of identity is required along with knowledge of the last four digits of the Account Holder’s Social Security Number.

Subscriber – The Subscriber is the user of an individual line on the account. After verification of identity, the subscriber can perform certain transactions affecting his line only.

How do we verify your identity?
Based on what you're trying to do and what channel you're using (online, in-store or via phone), you will be asked to provide certain pieces of information. These can include the Account Holder's name, DOB and last four digits of the SSN; the account billing address; previously called numbers; and, if in person, a picture ID.
Who can do what?

The Account Holder has the highest level of access on an account and can exclusively perform these transactions along with all others listed below:
